CITES Photo Gallery
At this site you can see photographs of species included in the Convention
on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora
(CITES). CITES has a membership of 152 countries, including Canada.
These countries act by banning commercial international trade in an
agreed list of endangered species and by regulating and monitoring
trade in others that might become endangered. (The name of the convention
in French is: Convention sur le commerce international des espèces
de faune et de flore sauvages menacées d'extinction).
