10 Critical Thinkers Discussing an Issue - an Example

Discussion online or in a classroom can be a great way to develop a community of critical thinkers. As you may know, that term does not refer to a group of people who dig up each other's faults and shine spotlights on them. Instead, the word critical in that context is derived from the word critique, and the members of a community of critical thinkers do critiquing together in a supportive way.

Even if you are not studying with an online or classroom group, perhaps you can develop a community of critical thinkers with your family and friends. The following guidelines were designed mainly for online discussion, but they also apply to other forms of discussion of issues.
