The Big Picture from a Time Management Perspective
To explore the issues in this course, you need to stay focussed
and conserve time. For a start, here's an overall chart, including an
idea of the minimum number of hours needed for each aspect. Take three
minutes to think about it.

In general, you will need to work in a fast, focussed way. Where the
course suggests how long to spend on a task, heed the advice. For example,
it will pay off to spend the recommended amount of time studying this
manual and doing an overview of each module.
When you get interested in a topic, you may spend many hours "taking
it further." It's great to do that if you have time, but be sure
to give priority to the required work. Also, if you misread a direction,
you can spend hours going off in the wrong direction, so take special
care to avoid that pitfall. We'll get to some detailed tips for efficient
learning later in this manual.
