This colourful site is designed especially for kids. It has interesting information on many energy topics including: fossil fuels, alternative fuel vehicles, renewable resources and tips for saving energy. You can also ask "Dr. Questor" questions about energy, and do puzzles, jokes and other fun activities. The site is operated by the California Energy Commission.

This site is designed especially for kids and has links to many different sites on energy. There is quite a bit of information about solar energy. The site is operated by the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Network.

 

Virtual Tours

This BC Hydro site allows you take a "virtual tour" of the power house at Stave Falls. Please note: In order to take the tour, you need a computer with a fast connection, lots of memory and the plug-in "Quicktime" which can be downloaded free from the Internet.

This site is also designed especially for kids. Click on the section titled "What is Energy". Scroll down the next page to find the "Energy Sources" diagram.
