Contact your teacher to determine whether you are required to complete and submit the SOS assignments.
Pretend you are on a science research team that wants to do research into one of the following:
- New reproductive technologies
- Cloning
- DNA fingerprinting
- Human embryonic stem cell technology
First, choose which one of these you would most like to be involved with. Your task on the team is to write an application for a grant from either your university or the government for your project. You know that other teams will be submitting requests for projects dealing with the other four technologies, so your application needs to be well written.
Write a brief report (250 to 300 words) outlining the reasons why your project is worthy of being funded. Include a brief description of the technology, how you hope to advance the technology, what benefits this will give, and possible ethical or technical problems that it might raise.
