Make a set of flash cards, each one outlining one step of the process of meiosis. Later, quiz yourself or have someone quiz you until you can describe what is happening, given the name of each step OR name the step, if a description of the step is given to you. An abbreviated version of your flash cards could be included in your Learning Log, either as text, or you may provide the images that you used to help you remember the stages of meiosis.
To help you remember the steps, you can also create your own mnemonic.
Note:After making and studying the flash cards, set them aside and see how well you do a day later. Sometimes things seem to be set in your memory, but they are only on the surface of it, and are swiftly lost. |
