Making a Climate Graph in Microsoft Excel


Preparing Your Data:

1. Plot the monthly precipitation totals in Column A.

2. Plot the average monthly temperatures in Column B.

3. Highlight your data.

4. Click on the Chart Wizard.

Step 1: Choose the correct chart type

1. Click on the Custom Types tab.

2. Select Line-Column on 2 Axes.

3. Click Next.

Step 2: Chart Source Data

1. Click Next. There is nothing to be changed here.

Step Three: Chart Options

1. Enter the data in the boxes, as shown below.

2. Click Next.

Complete the chart options     

 

Step 4: Chart Location

1. Click on the As new sheet button. Chart 1 will be highlighted.

2. Click Finish.

Step 5: Save Your Graph

1. Choose Save from the File menu. Save the chart on your desktop or on a disk.
