Dear Editor,

As a very obedient citizen of the god Zeus, I am displeased with the judge of the boxing event at the Olympic Games. He has insulted all Greek citizens. He deliberately "missed" seeing a cheat during the final match. The boxer from Delphi, the (supposed) winner of the event, tripped his opponent and punched him in the chest at almost the same moment, knocking him down. The Delphi boxer's timing was off just enough for the judge to notice it (only a blind man would have missed it)! Yet the judge "did not see" the cheating and claimed the Delphi boxer was the winner.

I remember seeing the judge and the Delphi boxer earlier, on my way to the Games. They were down a narrow, abandoned street where I saw the boxer give the judge a large bag … of money! I couldn't hear what they were saying, but I bet that it was a bribe to help the Delphi boxer win! Call them to account and make them face the music!
