Choosing Genres

You are free to "dabble" and "go deeper" in as many, or as few, genres as you choose. But before you choose which genres you'll work in, it's helpful to know a little about working across genres. Watch the following video to hear Lau, Rader and Schroeder talk about working in multiple forms. You might even be inspired to try something you didn't intend to when you first came to Writing 12.

NOTE: If you want to work in Creative Nonfiction Module or Stage and Film Writing Module, we do recommend you do the Fiction Module: "Dabble" first, as it lays the groundwork for structure, dialogue, and other narrative building blocks.
