It focuses on the personality differences between Ghandi and Jinnah. Mohammed Ali Jinnah: A clear site, with good illustrations; basically set up to praise Jinnah, so don't expect a balanced account of his career. Mahatma Gandhi: Sites dedicated to the memory of Gandhi, including a biography. Ghandi’s life and work: The most complete Ghandi site we have found, with links to many other sites.
Revolution in China Koumintang: These sites give a brief history of the political party that ruled China before the Communist Revolution. The Middle East The Palestinian Liberation Organization: This is the Encyclopedia Britannica’s History of Palestine site. Pay particular attention on the Section on the PLO. It’s one of the few unbiased sites we could find on this topic. Information Regarding Israel's Security (IRIS): For a very pro-Israeli view of the PLO, have a look at this site. Here’s a pro-PLO site, to balance things.
The Civil Rights Movement in the United States Brown vs the Board of Education: These sites give the full story of this important chapter in the history of American civil rights, including the complete trial documents. Martin Luther King: This is a complete educational site on Martin Luther King, with links to many other sites. History of the Black Panthers: Learn about the origins and development of the Black Panther Party in America. The Black Panther Party Photo Tour: This site gives a photo-history of the Black Panther Party. A bit short of content, and very biased in favour of the Black Panthers, but visually interesting. Malcolm X: This "official web site of Malcolm X" includes biographical material
Vietnam The CIA Factbook on Vietnam: Basic facts about Vietnam in easy-to-understand form. Vietnam Interview Room: This site contains material designed to help students who are doing research on the American involvement in Vietnam. The interviews with Americans who took part in the war are especially useful. Gulf of Tonkin: A critical analysis of the role of the media in the early stages of the Vietnamese War including a very bitter analysis of Johnson’s behaviour at the time of the Gulf of Tonkin incident. The Anti-War and New Left Movements: An analysis of the American government’s response to the anti-war movement in the United States. Vietnam: A Resource: These are the most complete web sites found on the topic of the Vietnamese War. Use the keywords to search these sites, or just look through the different information that each has to offer.

This site leads to a number of interesting sites about Afghanistan.
Women and Islam The Question of Hijab: Suppression or Liberation: A site which argues the case for women being required to wear traditional dress, including covering their heads. Miserable Life of Educated Women Under Taliban Rule: The same site as above, which articulates some of the concerns women have about the new government in Afghanistan. RAWA: The website of the Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan, which opposes the government and opposes Islamic fundamentalism.
South Africa Republic of South Africa: These sites have all sorts of information about South Africa. The African National Congress: This is the official site of the African National Congress. It is, as you would imagine, totally uncritical. Inkatha Freedom Party: The official site of the Inkatha Freedom Party presents a somewhat different story, as would be expected. Nelson Mandela: This site gives a brief biography of Nelson Mandela
The Status of Women Simone de Beauvoir, Existentialism and Simone de Beauvoir: These sites give an intellectual biography of Mme Beauvoir. Germaine Greer, Brilliant Careers: This is a quite critical analysis of Germaine Greer’s life and work. Brilliant Careers
