Welcome to Ancient Rome!

In this module you will study the development of Rome from a small village to the greatest empire of the ancient world. You will learn about the Roman army whose might and organization allowed Rome to conquer the vast area that became the Roman Empire. You will also learn about Roman diplomacy, which allowed the Romans to govern their empire and its many different cultures. Although the Roman Empire developed a rich culture, you will see that it also had a dark underside. In the second section of this module, you will expand your knowledge of this topic as you complete a research report on life in Ancient Rome.
