Module 7: Communication

Meet Alfie

Alfie is a seven-year-old who loves their classmates and loves to laugh. Alfie is a student with a severe intellectual disability, a seizure disorder, and difficulties with vision. Alfie can follow some simple instructions in familiar routines: communicating by using facial expressions, gestures, some vocalizations, and some individualized signs. Alfie will, on occasion, raise his hand when greeting other people and some members of his school team.
